Every time Sue came in she would reassure me that the baby was fine. And that everything is going to be fine. She could always tell when I was getting scared. She honestly felt like a mother caring for a sick child.
I came into the hospital with high anxiety. Quick back story, I miscarried two babies. The first one was bad. My placenta abrupted and I nearly bleed to death. My second miscarry, my water broke early and the baby died. Since then my constant worrying during the whole process of pregnancy. So while I waited to deliver my baby this time, I am highly stressed, worried, and my anxiety is going off the wall. This baby is being stubborn. It didn't want to come out the whole day but Sue made everything better. She calmed me down to where I didn't have to worry and my anxiety wasn't as bad. Sue was consistently checking up on me. Every time she came in she would reassure me that the baby was fine. And that everything is going to be fine. She could always tell when I was getting scared. She honestly felt like a mother caring for a sick child. Words cannot express how much she did for me. When Sue left and other nurses came in it didn't feel the same. They didn't check on me as Sue did. They didn't make sure that when I went to the bathroom that I was alright. They left the room for a couple of minutes. When Sue took me to the bathroom she stayed right there and made sure I knew I wasn't far from her. Sue also made me more comfortable than I ever have been in the hospital. She made sure I wasn't cold or too hot. Sue made me feel as if nothing in the world was going to happen to me and my baby. Sue is such a wonderful, caring, gentle and amazing person that I had to request her the following day as my nurse so that my anxiety wouldn't flare up again. She did so much for me, she doesn't even understand. This is the least I could do for such a fantastic woman, who is a true DAISY Nurse.
