My husband brought me to Washington Regional because I was spotting and only 29 weeks pregnant. As I was being admitted by the staff, Stormie, one of the RNs introduced herself to us and communicated with us the entire time informing us and letting us know what the Dr. wanted as far as tests or keeping me overnight for observation.
Stormie was very kind and took the time explaining everything to me. She showed compassion and made me feel that I was in good hands as she would check up on me or have conversations to ease my nervousness. The next day while she was trying to get my baby's heartbeat I started to bleed and it was uncontrollable. Stormie did not hesitate to act or think twice about what needed to be done. I was rushed to the operating room and had an emergency C-section done.
After I came out of the recovery room and put in my room, the first face I saw and voice I heard was of Stormie comforting me and letting me know that my baby and I were safe. Two days after having my baby, Stormie came by my room to check on me. She even took time to go visit my baby in the NICU. Stormie went out and beyond to make sure me and my son were doing good, from day one she was very nice and professional. She even made sure to inform us about the Ronald McDonald room and she took her time to make sure we got on the waiting list. Everyone here treated me well and made me feel important and like family. I will forever be grateful for Stormie and never forget her. My son might not have made it if it wasn't for Stormie and the staff at WRMC. Thank you very much and when my son is old enough I'll make sure he knows of the awesome and best care we were given! We thank you!
