Stephanie Gartland was my first nurse when I came over from ICU. The compassion from the moment she entered was undeniable. She listened to all my past medical history with an open heart and was very sweet and caring when I'd pass out and not know why. It would be so frustrated with having no answers and not knowing why everything was going on and she'd always be in my corner, fighting to get answers for me; telling me to be strong and not give up hope, catching me when I fell. Making me laugh when all I wanted to do was cry because I was stuck in bed.
When I was finally able to stand on my own, Stephanie was not my nurse that day, but she still came down to my room to congratulate me and tell me how proud of me she was.
Without nurses like Stephanie that take that extra time with their patients and go the extra mile for their care, I would've never made it through my stay. With her as my nurse supporting me all the way, always in my corner, I knew anything was possible.
Stephanie was amazing. Thanks.

Stephanie went above and beyond to provide excellent care and comfort to our father/husband. She was honest with us about his options and what we could expect. She was exceptionally kind to our mom and checked in with her to see how she was doing. She went off duty on a Sunday and stopped by on her day off on Tuesday when she was on the floor for an unrelated matter to see how he was doing.
We have been in and out of the hospital as a family since July and all the nurses and staff have been great, but Stephanie has been our favorite. We will always gratefully remember her kindness.
