I was diagnosed with Crohns in 2000. It has been a very long and hard road for me since with many surgeries, several hospital stays and living with pain every day of my life. As of December 2nd I've again been admitted in to the hospital. But this time I'm in a strange town. I'm from Elk Mound, Wisconsin and my doctors are now here at Marshfield Clinic. So needless to say it's been a very lonely, depressing and scary time for me being admitted in to an unfamiliar hospital so far away from my family and friends. I was so sick, in so much pain and very depressed that I was alone when I first got here, then my life took an amazing turn for the better not only from my doctors who took such great care of me and got my health under control but from my nurse, Stacy Nemec-Loew.

Stacy made me feel comfortable, safe and secure from the very first moment I met her. I feel that she went above and beyond her normal daily routine to make sure I was taken care of and not just my health needs but also my emotional needs. Even on the days that Stacy was assigned to other patients, she found the time in her busy daily schedule to stop in to my room to say hi, check up on me and make sure I knew I wasn't alone here.

I've been hospitalized multiple times in my life and I can honestly say I've never received such outstanding care as I have from everyone here at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital. Everyone I came in to contact with has been very caring and very helpful. They don't just treat me as a patient but rather as a sick family member. Thank you again everyone. You all have done an amazing job and thank you Stacy for taking the time to truly listen to me, for what I really had to say and not just because you had to but because you cared enough to want to. May love, success, luck and friendship come to you all with open arms!!
