We met Stacey when my husband became a patient of Dr. D's and when Dr. D left the VA he became Dr. S's patient. My husband was diagnosed with bladder cancer, with bladder removal, and 13 months later was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and this is how we met Stacey. Stacey has always been a positive role model for us when there are days that you think the sun will never shine again because you feel so bad from treatments and fatigue, you see Stacey and she brings back the sunshine because of her positive attitude and her never-ending concern for each and every veteran she sees. Stacey has always answered any and all concerns we may have. She has always been that ray of hope that anyone fighting cancer needs, her trust and confidence has always brought us through the tough times and made things much easier to accept in a positive way. We know from experience that Stacey serves our veterans with the utmost dignity and respect that any nurse could possibly do. She goes over and beyond the call of duty to make every veteran have the highest quality of improvement that can be offered. There is always a smile on her face and a loving and caring hug that awaits. Her concerns are totally sincere and genuine. Stacey has been sent to the VA to accomplish her mission of Integrity, Commitment, and Respect to serve our veterans who are in need of her excellent compassion during the many dark days fighting this horrible disease of cancer.
Stacey Parrish is an Extraordinary Nurse. Without her caring positive attitude, there would be hundreds of veterans who wouldn't experience seeing that sunshine again.
