I was down and out. I had 4 major surgeries in 3 months. Every surgery I ended up staying at the hospital for more days than I care to admit.
Just the smile on her face as she would come into my room made me feel more at ease. Whatever I needed from her, she was HAPPY to do it.
Sondra kept me up to date with everything that was going on because I was highly medicated. She was there to console every fear I had and there were plenty of fears. Not only did she console me, but she would come into my room before she left for the day.
There were so many times when I couldn't shower on my own and Sondra was right there to jump in and help get me into the shower and sit on the shower chair while she slowly took my padding off, and then scrubbed my body and hair so I could be clean.
Sondra was right there every time I would vomit. And there was a lot of that going on. You can just tell from the compassion I received that it was coming from the heart not because of a job.
Sondra was not only there for me for physical support, but mental support as well. Every tear that rolled down my face whether, from pain or just because I was tired of being in the hospital, she was there to validate my feelings and let me know it was perfectly fine to cry, she was there with the Kleenex. When I got discharged every time, Sondra was just as happy as for me. There just are not enough words to express how great Sondra is.
I was the one who felt like I was the only person she had to take care of. You just don't get that kind of care I received everywhere and that kind of love showed throughout my entire stays. I couldn't have had an easier stay without her.
