Sheena received her DAISY Award nomination from one of her co-workers. She felt that Sheena goes above and beyond, makes special connections, serves as a role model, generates enthusiasm and positive energy, collaborates to effect change, and creates an environment for learning:
Sheena is an excellent nurse. She has excellent skills as a nurse and provides help to everyone as needed during the shift. Sheena runs the unit-literally. Every time she is here, I feel safe, it doesn't matter which code we can have, I know the patients will have the best care with her here. I admire Sheena and have a lot of respect for her; she is the model I need for my own nursing career. She is my role model to follow and hopefully one day she can be my preceptor.
