Sharron Howard-Taylor has many strengths, but her main strength, from my observations, is her compassion and interpersonal skills with patients, family members, Physicians, and co-workers. She encourages others while motivating them emotionally and professionally.
In addition, Sharron utilizes her interpersonal abilities and compassion to educate Staff and Physicians on a daily basis. She is involved in numerous committees as well as Nursing Congress, Evidence-Based Practice and Process Action Teams. In addition, she Chairs the Sepsis Committee and has been active in the implementation of evidence-based practices throughout the Hospital.
Sharron works closely with Clinical, non-clinical staff and Physicians. She is professional and is well received by all staff. She has exceeded standards on all elements of her job. She is initiative driven and manages her time wisely and purposeful, utilizing every moment to improve the care of the patients on the 5th Floor.
Sharron is dependable, motivated, sincere, and a motivator for her interdisciplinary team. She has had an excellent attendance record dating back from the beginning of her employment to present and always takes her job very seriously. Furthermore, she works well with others, while also being able to learn from those around her.
Sharron is truly an asset, not only to 5th Floor but to USAMC. She deserves the recognition of this prestigious award because she is indeed the epitome of dedication and a constant strive of excellence.
