As a mother, your biggest fear is seeing your own baby in pain and hurting. I was fully prepared for the pain. I know having a baby isn't easy, and I knew my daughter, K, would be a trooper. What I wasn't prepared for were complications that could've ended differently, in ways I don't even want to think about. This nurse, Ruthie, saved my daughter. She saved my granddaughter.
Ruthie was on top of her game the day my precious granddaughter came into the world. She stood by my daughter's side for hours! After it was over I wondered what her other patients must've thought about her being gone so long from them. But I was thankful. I am forever thankful that God placed this nurse in the room with my daughter that day. It was no accident, we needed the best of the best that day, and that's exactly what we got. Ruthie isn't just a nurse, she's a life saver. She saved my two greatest blessings, and "Thank you" will never truly be enough. How do you thank someone who saved a life you love? She deserves every ounce of recognition she can get.
