I transferred to Research from a home birth and had already been in labor for 2 plus days without advancing beyond 5 centimeters. Needless to say, I was very tired and out of my element when arriving. The moment I met Sharon I felt at ease. I could tell she genuinely cared for me and enjoyed having her company throughout my labor and birth of my daughter. It was like having a mama there with me - not mention I felt she was very through with her work and that I was in good hands. After having my baby, she gave me a big hug and just continued caring for me so well. The next morning, I was so happy and thrilled when she walked into my room and told me that she had requested to care for me for that day. It really just made what was an already good experience at Research even better. She was with us all day until discharge and I was embraced again by her before leaving. She really was just THE BEST! I have to say, all of the nursing staff who cared for myself and my family were so wonderful. I've had had two other babies in hospitals - staff/nurses have never been anything but nice, however, the people who cared for me at Research were above and beyond my favorite. I felt like they genuinely wanted to be there, helping us, caring for me, supporting me. I felt like myself and my family really mattered to them. Thank you so much for a great experience after my original plans got derailed. I couldn't have had a better transition or fallen into more loving and capable hands than Sharon's.
