A mother, whose fully disabled adult son has been in and out of Saint Agnes for various health concerns, nominated Yeager for the award. She praised all the nurses on her son's care team, but she gave special thanks to Sarah Yeager for going above and beyond. The mother said Yeager was constantly working to reduce pressure sores, keep her son clean and dry, and feed him on time. As a working mother who couldn't always be there for her son, she was grateful to have Yeager - a nurse she could trust to ease her son's fears and communicate with the doctors and other staff.

"You know that she loves what she does and has compassion for the patients and families she serves," the nominating mother said of Yeager.
