Not only was Sarah outstanding with my father, she was patient and kind with his friends and family. I have never seen a nurse so engaging and informative. I was also very impressed with the way she interacted with the interns and fellow staff. She is truly an asset to UMC Medical facility.
She took care of patient and family very well. Always making sure we had everything we needed. Very polite, courteous and very professional and a very nice attitude.
She not only took great care of my father but went out of her way to explain anything we asked and to make my step-mother as comfortable as possible. She was always smiling and very positive. UMC is very lucky to have her as a staff member.
I can truly say this nurse meets all of excellence to be a DAISY nurse because she goes above and over all that you could ever expect from a special nurse. She is also a sweet caring person.

She is a rising star at UMHC! She is a true team player and wants the best for our patients and her co-workers. Here are some of the awesome things I have seen her do just today: A co-worker was pulled from our unit and when she heard a code blue called on another unit, she immediately ran down there to help in case it was her patient (it was) and to be sure she was ok. Later, she saw that another nurse was very busy and at 2:00 had not eaten or charted. So, she told that nurse to sit down and catch up and she would take care of everything else. She even took her Vorera so no one could call and interrupt her. She took excellent care of her own patients AND her co-workers.
Sarah is a valuable asset to this unit and to UMHC. She has also started charging occasionally and has really risen to the challenge. She is a great help to our staff and we are lucky to have her!
