A cardiac alert patient arrived to CDIL in full arrest. Sandy and Debbie immediately went to work, acquiring and administering medications/CPR/getting patient ready and proceeding to heart cath. She and Debbie worked very diligently, quickly and efficiently. But this patient was very complicated. Sandy and Debbie kept this pace up for the next six hours. It is difficult to imagine all that might be done in such a situation and the job can be very taxing physically, mentally, emotionally. It can be grueling to keep up such a pace. Debbie and Sandy do this more often than one would realize. They had already worked a full day and were on call. They gave every ounce of energy to do their part to help keep the patient alive. The staff taking call are integral to patient survival and success of the department and hospital. They are great team members.
