Sandy was triaging a patient who was in distress, she wheeled the patient back to a room, contacted a doctor and started an IV. She got the team started on a potentially serious situation because "the patient just doesn't look right and I feel like something could go wrong quickly." The patient was critical and heart attack was likely. Because of her skills, knowledge, experience, and tenacity, the outcome was very good for the patient and for the staff. This patient was very thankful to her and his wife thanked her profusely.
She is always ready and willing to help anyone and she is very willing to share her knowledge and experience.
