My daughter was induced on Monday morning. My son (her little brother), 10 years old, and I were there with her from the start. He is very close to his sister and very concerned about everything that was going on. When things began to get concerning and they were needing to look at doing a c-section, he was very worried. While the doctors were talking to my daughter and doing exams, Sandy came over, sat next to my son, and explained what was going on, what they were saying and asked if he had any questions. She also sent word back to us when the C-section had occurred letting us know the baby and my daughter were ok.
That 2 minutes she sat down with my son meant more than anyone could imagine; two minutes of someone's time changed his entire experience. When he tells the story to his friends and family, he includes how nurse Sandy came and explained everything to him when he was scared and didn't know what was going on. We saw very good patient care and Sandy went the extra mile and took the extra care that was so appreciated. She just makes you smile when she is around. Thank you, Sandy! You are very appreciated and made a huge difference in our experience and life.
