Even though Samantha has a 5:1 patient ratio, her attentiveness rivals that of ICU nurses who have a 1:1 or 2:1 patient ratio. If she says she is going to do something or bring the patient something, she does it without being reminded. She explains what is to be done for the patient and why it is important. She is gregarious while maintaining her professionalism. Samantha is sensitive and thoughtful while maintaining her professionalism. She has an energetic, positive attitude in going about her daily assignments. She more than lives up to the excellent care one expects to receive from Kaiser.

I was in the hospital for over a month due to ileostomy surgery. Samantha was very knowledgeable as a nurse and very kind and full of compassion as a person. I had a tough time and she always encouraged me to be strong. I really appreciate her and the time she took to help me emotionally and physically. Thank you.

My mother 100-year-old mother is a patient here and is a very difficult patient to care for. I think Samantha is a very special nurse. She treats Mother with kindness, love, and respect and always has a beautiful and sincere smile. She's organized, efficient and seems to enjoy her nursing job.
