In October of 2016 I was hospitalized for an infection in my left knee. It was a knee replacement I had done in December of 2014. After they determined what type of infection it was, I had a PICC line implanted in my right arm to administer the antibiotics. What I left the hospital I was ordered to return to the Spa each day for the antibiotic infusion.
I would like to tell you that they staff in the department made my daily visit a most agreeable task. After my visit, they advised to come in after 11am to avoid the morning rush of patients whose procedures would keep them there all day. Mine would only take an hour or so. Each day when I arrived, I was greeted by the nurses and immediately assigned to a bed or recliner for my infusion. They were efficient and professional by very caring and friendly, especially Susan Kim and Salfree Sabater. They were experts at making me feel welcome and special each time I arrived. My treatments lasted 45 days and yet from the first day to the last, I felt as if they looked forward to seeing me and taking care of me. I was only one of many patients they attended to each day and yet all of us received that very special care.
You should be proud of these two nurses. They were professional without being too distant and yet caring and attentive. I finished my treatments in November, prior to Thanksgiving. I was very thankful that I had encountered them during a very anxious time for me. When I stopped by the Spa in December, while visiting a friend in the hospital, they remembered me and were so happy I was doing better and getting well.
I have always had a good experience at your hospital, but this time was exceptional thanks to the staff. I have mentioned this to many individuals I know who are excited to see great staff in your new building.
