We came to Methodist Hospital Northeast a week ago, this was my wife's second time here because she was diagnosed with cancer 18 months ago. In that time, I met a lot of doctors and nurses at MHNE, all caring and nice, but one nurse I met was a real comfort to me and my family while my wife was in the hospital and that was Roy.
He went out of his way to make sure she was always comfortable and well taken care of while on PCU 2. Always brought her medication on time and made sure he told us what he was doing and why. It made me feel at ease to know someone caring was looking after my wife, I'm glad to have met him. Whenever I had to leave I never felt bad, because if he was there I knew she would be ok. He also explained a lot of post-hospitalization info I wasn't aware of, like home and away hospice care. As an African American sometimes I worry around other races, just because of the times we live in, but I never felt discomfort for her with him on duty.
I would like to personally thank him and some of the other staff members at MHNE, as well as the administration for the good care they provided my wife. Thank you to all of them.
