Robin Bouffard's clinical skill and especially her compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. Robin meets all of the Winter Park Pride guidelines: Compassion Behaviors, Image Standards, and Clinical Practices.

Robin works tirelessly on behalf of our patients not only through the education process, but with direct care on our unit. She is a wonderful resource and has come to the unit on multiple occasions to sit with patients, feed them, accompany them to diagnostic testing and many other opportunities that contribute to their care and provide an excellent experience within our walls.

Robin's caring nature is evident from the moment you meet her and consistently gives our new nurses a strong foundation on which to start their professional careers. Robin provides not only the skill needed to launch their integration into the hospital environment, but checks on their progress frequently to identify areas in which they may need additional coaching or simply give them a warm hug and words of encouragement. Robin is often seen early in the morning bringing fresh baked banana bread or brownies to the staff along with delicious flavored coffee for an extra treat.

Robin is one of the unsung heroes in our midst, working mainly behind the scenes but providing a strong presence that cannot be denied. Winter Park is fortunate to have Robin Bouffard. I believe this nurse is a role model for not only our campus, but the entire Florida Hospital System and is deserving of this special recognition.
