While having been admitted several times in the past, I had never experienced a nurse like Ricardo Baylon. It is very clear that he truly cares for his patients. Not only was he really attentive, he took the time to explain everything he was doing and also explained the doctor's reasoning behind decisions in my care. As the nurse, you are in the exact position to be able to do that and I'm grateful he made the effort with the simple things that make the biggest difference in easing patient concerns. Furthermore, when I had changes in the status of my condition, Ricardo was prompt to communicate with the doctor. He even went beyond his own duties and changed my bedding instead of waiting for another staff member to do it to minimize the amount of time I felt discomfort. When he came to check on me and I looked fine, he still spared the few seconds of his time to ask if I needed anything. The entire time I was looked after, Ricardo always had a smile on his face which reassured both me and my family that I was in good hands. Ricardo Baylon is an exceptional and compassionate nurse and is a true DAISY!
