Rhona Tahar, Staff Nurse 1,is a primary nurse who provides compassionate and exemplary care to the patients. She is a devoted nurse who's been working here for over 10 years where her specialty is in the wound care, vascular and plastic clinic.

She comes to work with a smile on her face, punctual and carrying the positive attitude. She has good communication skills with patients and their families. She has strong leadership skills that set her apart because she is always willing to help others whether the patients, their families or even her fellow staff nurses. She is very kind hearted and always welcomes you with a warm smile.

Surgical clinic highly focus on wound care area where we give care to patients with lots of dressing from acute to chronic cases. She has the skill and the knowledge and she shares that to her co-workers and to the new nurse those she precepts. She is proactive with her critical thinking, no wonder patients ask her to be their nurse. With her knowledge on wound care, she assists and covers the wound care nurses. One physician has commended her, saying "She is smart and keen to learn. She is an excellent nurse with good knowledge on wound care. She is one of the best nurses I have worked with in this hospital."

Even how busy she will be, she will assist colleagues needing help. She goes beyond and above to assist the team and be involved in decision making. In crisis situations, she remains calm and takes control of the situation, knowing our clinic is a busy unit which receives a large number of patients needing wound care services but with her winning attitude, she makes a difference.

Rhona is an exceptional nurse, who goes the extra mile for her patients. Even though she is non Arabic speaker, she learns the language to communicate well with her patients. She provides excellent counseling and education to her patients and their families. There are times that the clinic does not have an Arabic speaking staff and it gets challenging but she will make herself available to interpret and explain the educational material to our patients and their families.

Being a Magnet champion, she involved herself in different Magnet activities. She has that exceptional personality with lots of confidence and cheerfulness. She is compassionate, trustworthy, respectful and humble person who is always ready to share her knowledge and experience to benefit the rest of the team. It is a privilege to work with someone on whom you can really depend on. She volunteers to stay after clinic hours to help out when we are running behind schedule. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing team member who goes above and beyond to ensure the wellness of her patients and colleagues.
