I was in the hospital for several days due to pancreatitis. Every single person who was involved with my care was wonderful to me! From the guy taking my food order with very specific allergies, to PCAs and other support staff. It's one thing to be "taken care of" and given medication, but another to be nurtured and even practically carried and lifted, mentally and physically through the process. Renee sat with me and helped me through the incredible pain and the times I wanted to give up and feel sorry for myself. She would tell me to not give up and that I could do this. She was there helping me get up from being doubled-over in pain. I felt her care but could also see it in her eyes. That's what made me realize I could do this. I will never be able to repay her for this amazing gift to me.
