Rebecca is an extraordinary, compassionate nurse, who went beyond, providing excellent care despite an extremely busy shift. My entire labor, she made herself available without being overbearing; she never once belittled or dismissed any concerns I had. Listening intently and evaluating possible solutions or interventions. She did everything in her power to make me as comfortable as possible during labor by suggesting position changes, maintaining a comfortable environment, educating my family on how they could help me, and always making sure I had water.
Rebecca put me first and kept reminding me that this was my show and she helped me follow my birth plan. When the hardest part of my labor came, she was right by my side, coaching and encouraging me. Her words of affirmation made me feel empowered. I truly don't know if I could have had natural labor without her. After my delivery, she allowed me time to bond with my baby and did not push any other agenda. She was a true testament to the idea of a servant's heart. My entire family was blown away.
