My husband was in the hospital in July for surgery; his first hospital stay ever. Everybody was so great over his 9 day stay. One nurse, Becky, stood out to us. Becky always made a point to check on my husband, no matter how busy she was or the amount of patients she had. Seemed like she would stop in between every other patient just to make sure he was doing well. She made him feel like his room was a relief to go to when she was having a bad day. Becky had my husband for a few shifts in a row, then got switched; however, she would still stop by to say hi and check to see that he was getting the care he deserved! She even would look out for me.

After being in the hospital for days on end, she would offer to get me things to eat and drink. She would also bring my husband crackers with peanut butter and juice to keep his energy up! (At first I thought it was our great nephew Alex, who works on nights that was stocking the room with snacks) Becky would leave notes on the board for my husband if he was asleep when she was getting ready to leave for the day. She would also leave notes for me to let me know how things went while I was gone. She would also let us know when we would see her again. She truly made us feel special. The hospital stay would not have been the same without her. I don't know if this kind of care is what she does for all of her patients but we felt like she went above and beyond our whole stay. While we think all of the staff was incredible, Becky is just someone you HAVE to meet!
