My cousin has been in and out of hospitals for months for ulcerative colitis/Crohn's. He has lived with us, mostly in gut-wrenching, screaming agony, with frankly, lower-dose pain meds than I was given for my last root canal. Ray stepped up, and somehow got him enough relief to seem almost like himself. Hurting, but not in agony, and with contingency options should it become agony. He has given us hope where there was only pained pity, and kindness where there was none to be found. We are forever grateful for this wonderful nurse. He is the heart of compassionate caregiving, and after four hospitals in as many weeks, I am sold on Virginia Mason!
