When I was 17, I had been rushed in due to having a 90% blockage in my celiac artery which was causing me to have severe symptoms of overdosing (vomiting, in and out of consciousness). I had never touched a drug in my life and Randy seemed to be the only one who knew there was an underlying cause to my issue. I can't really remember a lot of that night due to my mental status, but I remember when I opened my eyes every time Randy was there doing all he could to keep me with him. He made sure to comfort and reassure my mother, grandmother, and brother (who were in tears) that they weren't going to lose me. I remember his joking manner with my younger brother that got him out of his tears. All I can remember is thinking that God had literally sent an angel to my family. I wish I could remember a lot more details from that night but one thing I do remember is Randy making sure everything was going the way it needed, having faith that all would turn out well, and reassuring my family at a difficult time. It has been 10 years since that time but one person I will never forget is Randy and that is why I believe he is a DAISY Nurse.
