Rachel is the kind a person you wish every nurse was. She will drop everything that she is doing to come and help with whatever. Rachel is always hard working even on her most tired days. She takes exceptional care of her patients and tries to fulfill their every beckon call. Having a baby is both a happy and scary time. It takes a warm, cheerful and inviting personality like Rachel’s to work with this population. Even when it’s not her patient she is willing to help in anyway that she can. She always communicates well with all nurses, staff, and doctors, to keep everyone up to date on the status of the patient. Rachel’s communication skills have allowed her to become a very effective coach and mentor. She puts her orientees at ease and promotes a nonthreatening culture that allows them to grow and flourish in nursing.

Delivery of twins can be hectic and at times overwhelming. Rachel recently labored a mom delivering twins and was able to provide the patient with a memorable and safe birthing experience despite her rapid labor the extra intervention needed with the delivery of twins:

“Rachel went the extra mile throughout my entire labor and stay. For her it was more than just a job, she truly cared about me and took the time to listen to my wants and fears to tailor my birthing experience to meet my expectations, thank you”

Rachel not only meets the standards of a daisy award nominee but exemplifies the standards without fail each and every day.
