Rachel was assigned as my nurse from Friday at 7 pm until Saturday at 7 am. I had problems with getting my IV's wrapped for showers, including by mediport for chemo. I was very upset that my mediport dressing was compromised since this was the most important medicine of my life. Not only did she redress my mediport and IV, she took extra time to make sure I could relax. I had also suddenly developed swelling in my legs, and she stayed by my side the next day when I went for a venous doppler and stayed at least an additional 7 hours after her scheduled shift to ensure my next chemo went smoothly. She went so far above and beyond that I'm not sure I could ever properly thank her. Her attention and care made a difficult time that much easier.
