Outstanding Nurse!"; "Patrick is wonderful to work with, always is willing to give a helping hand, pro-active, never gets angry, and has a great sense of humor"; "I am honored to work with one of the best nurses during my 14 years as an RN at Mercy Chula Vista."
Patrick represents the best of Scripps values. Whether caring for an elderly man with a fractured hip, a small child with asthma, or an intoxicated homeless patient, Patrick delivers the same professional, non-judgmental, compassionate care. His even temperament and sense of humor help calm patients who are frightened, agitated, or in pain. "He is very compassionate in his care for dying patients and their family."
Medics brought in a homeless patient, a frequent ED visitor–Patrick welcomed him back, treated him with the utmost respect, initiated the required studies, and placed him in a room. The patient told the ED physician how welcomed Patrick made him feel and how he appreciated his kind care. "He treats all patients and family with compassion; always taking the time to explain and reassuring them."
Patrick made our ED's Epic journey a success through his dedication, time, and efforts in helping build the ED ASAP module and communicating progress reports to staff.
Patrick is a truly Extraordinary Nurse.
