Community Health Systems (CHS) Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer Pamela T. Rudisill, DNP, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, FAAN, is being recognized with the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award. Nominated by Lake Norman Regional Medical Center as a way of expressing gratitude, admiration and respect for serving as a role model and advocate for nursing practice and the advancement of the nursing profession, Dr. Rudisill, a registered nurse since 1974, and Chief Nursing Officer for Lake Norman Regional Medical Center from 1996 to 2008, has led a distinguished career as a nurse leader in clinical practice, administration, and education while always promoting the most positive image as a nursing professional.
An advocate for the improvement of patient care, always serving as an example for focusing on and enhancing the patient experience, Dr. Rudisill promotes The DAISY Award program across CHS hospitals and throughout the country to recognize the quality and compassionate care exhibited by nurses to their patients. As a mentor, educator, and role model, Dr. Rudisill consistently promotes best clinical practices to nursing leaders, further demonstrating her commitment to service and influence in shaping health care.
Just recently, Dr. Rudisill was inducted into the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) as a member of its inaugural Fellows class. She is just one of 18 nursing leaders from across the country to achieve this distinction. The recipient of numerous awards and recognition throughout her impressive career, including induction into the American Academy of Nursing, Dr. Rudisill has also held many nursing leadership positions at the state and national level, including President of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) in 2010. Of her many personal and professional accomplishments throughout her nursing career, Dr. Rudisill is admittedly proud to be the twin sister of an accomplished nurse, Patricia T. Campbell, MBA, MEd, RNC, NEA-BC, and the very proud mother of a nurse, Elizabeth Rudisill Hayes, MSN, FNP-BC, who is continuing to advance her nursing education with the pursuit of her Doctorate of Nursing Practice.
On behalf of the Staff, Administration, Board of Trustees, and Volunteers of Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, we are extremely proud to present the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Pam Rudisill!
