I do not believe there is any unit that is a greater asset to the Shannon system than this one. I know they have worked short staffed and I have observed how smoothly they functioned with no shortcomings in regard to patient care. I have been a patient for over a year and have observed this unit in action. These nurses work like a well-oiled machine. Each and every one of them makes sure their patients get true, tender, loving care. They make certain we are comfortable, warm, and provide snacks and drinks when asked. From the onset, they establish a rapport with each of their patients. We get to know each other. One thing was readily apparent, these nurses really do appreciate one another and are eager to fill in whenever needed. Most importantly, they always tell us exactly what we are receiving for meds and how long the infusion will take. We are always informed. This is a fantastic group of nurses from those who provide the hands-on care to those who check us in and provide the creature comforts such as pillows and warm blankets. Thank you all.
