I cannot think of another nurse more deserving of this award. Olivia helped deliver my baby but that is not the main reason I'm writing this. Seven days after delivering my third child, I was admitted for life-threatening hemorrhaging. I was so scared. All I could think about was my three kids at home and how they needed their momma. When I got to L&DR, I was relieved to see Olivia's happy and smiling face again. She took such good care of me. She was so loving and genuinely caring.
When the clots started again, Olivia was in the room and could tell that I was upset. I started to cry, and she told me it was going to be OK. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it and Olivia comforted me. I have never been so scared in all my life and Olivia continuously talked with me, cleaned me up and repeatedly told me I would be ok. I was sent to emergency surgery. My husband was not able to go along with me down to surgery. Olivia took me and told me I was going to be ok. She made it less frightening as I didn't know what was going to happen. This was the worst time of my life and Olivia made it so much better. God had chosen a wonderful person to be involved in my care that day and I would not have made it without her love and care. She is an angel and I am so thankful for her.
