My previous experience in a hospital did not turn out well. I lost my husband in 2015 due to a car wreck. 38 days after he was admitted he passed away. It took me a long time to date again, but then I found S. When he got sick and had to go into the hospital I was scared to death. Hospitals are a huge trigger for my past trauma. The "what ifs" were driving me crazy until Chris came into the picture. I knew S would be taken care of and things would not turn out the way they did before.
S told me, "Chris helped me get through some of the worst pain I've experienced. His politeness and understanding made my recovery that much easier. I had many annoying questions, but he made sure I knew exactly what was going on and made 100% sure I was ok before helping others. Knowing he was on my team helped me overcome my sickness."
Chris made our nights and Nikki made our days! Nikki really listened to our concerns and made S as comfortable as possible and helped regulate his meds. She also was a big help in getting his anxiety under control. She took us under her wing, really treating us like family and made us feel as comfortable as possible during our stay.
Without the amazing teamwork by her and Chris, I don't think we would have made it through everything. I wish all nurses had the mentality and compassion toward their patients as Nikki and Chris. I could not do what they did as good as they both handled us. I just needed to let you know how special you both truly are. You guys are amazing and thanks again for everything. God sent you two to us and placed you in the perfect spot to help others.
Truly amazing people!
