My father had Nicole as his nurse one day during a three-day hospital stay. She was very caring and attentive to his needs. He is a very big fan of anyone who has a sense of humor and Nicole was able to joke back and forth with him. The second day we had another nurse, but Nicole checked in a few times when we used the call light. He was always very happy to see her.
During his hospital stay, he had confusion at times due to some dementia issues. Nicole was very patient with him and tried to put him at ease. She was able to get him to relax and he wasn't as anxious and nervous.
Before Nicole left for her off days, she stopped by his room to tell him goodbye, she enjoyed meeting him and she wished him luck. He really appreciated that. He told her that he would maybe see her some time at Chet and Emil's, which is in the area where Nicole lives. She had a big smile on her face and said, "I can't believe you remembered that". He replied, "oh yeah, I would never forget that".
My dad has only been in the hospital one other time in his 75 years and due to nurses like Nicole, this hospital stay was made as easy as possible. Thank you, Nicole!
