Thought I was having indigestion. Came to EMMC, had a heart cath. Found out I need a 4-way heart bypass. Shocking and upsetting. Was put in a room had Nicole for a nurse for 2 days. She was very friendly, compassionate, thorough, skilled, informative, and efficient. She listened to me and my sister and answered all our questions with accuracy. Gave us handouts and videos of what was to happen and what to expect after surgery. Her nursing skills are unbelievably smart.
Nicole really went above and beyond her duties as a nurse by assuring and comforting us after we learned of the 4-way heart bypass. She always explained anything she was going to treat you with, what meds and the reason for them. Anything we asked of her she made sure she did her best to accompany us. It was a very comfortable 2 days with Nicole before she went on vacation. She is a truly remarkable person/nurse.
