I had a heart attack and was brought here by ambulance early in the morning. I don't know a lot of the 1st night, but they moved me to this floor a couple of nights ago. Nick was the one I dealt with the most, but all of my nurses and hospital staff were great. Nick was extremely encouraging, which meant the world to me. He was there with ideas, making sure my meds were done, constantly doing his job. The best part, he never made me feel like I was a bother or in his way. They were busy most of the time with other patients, too. I was amazed he could do the same thing constantly. Anyone who is sick would be the luckiest if they had him for a nurse. He is compassionate, caring, and makes you feel like you can do anything (and we all know that is hard to do when you don't feel well). He is excellent at what he does. He can turn any situation into a good thing even when sticking you with needles. I wish I could help him in the way he helped me and all the others I saw him taking care of. We are the most fortunate for him taking care of us. I don't usually do these types of things, but he did such a great job. He deserves to know he helped me through the roughest time of my life and I will always be thankful he was there at the right time. My family was having the hardest time with this and every time, he put a smile on their face.
Note: This is Nick's 2nd DAISY Award!
