..While I was out for medical leave, Nancy checked in with me each week. Did I need anything? How was I doing? Telling me the news of the unit. She even came over with fresh from the oven Snickerdoodles cookies. Nancy was the only one from our office who consistently stayed in touch with me for the five months I was home.
It demonstrates the care and concern she knows to each and every patient we see in Pre- Admissions. Her attention to details speaks well for her quality of care. Her cheery voice often made my day and I know patient's feel the same. It's nice to see a friendly face, welcoming one to our unit and the right introduction to Emanuel through Pre Admissions. Often the patient's first contact is with Pre Admissions Nurse.
Nancy should also be recognized for returning to school for her BSN. She is a single mother and the ability to juggle school, work, home and volunteering for TIP certainly puts her in the DAISY AWARD category!
