The countless personal stories of support, guidance, and mentorship to staff by Ms. Nada were recounted emotionally by the deciding committee. She inspires her team to achieve greatness through her behavior as a caring and nurturing role model. Too many to recount but here are some of the submitted stories that show Ms. Nada as a true DAISY Nurse Leader.

"We are deeply touched with her support, for the role she is playing to help us grow and be confident in everything we do. With her leadership together with us, Saudi Nurses Club members there is no tough or hard work, only passion, commitment, challenges and the driven spirit acting together to make a difference."

"A mother who is very patient, sacrificing, loving, caring and with a sense of humanity. There was a challenging situation which happened in our unit meeting that resulted in a disagreement between our DON and the nursing colleagues. She felt very disappointed, demoralized and disrespected. The same day we all felt guilty because of this disagreement and we all felt we would be punished because of this. We all realized and quickly requested the opportunity to apologize which was graciously accepted but more surprisingly was that Ma'am Nada never showed any anger towards us.
The next day Ma'am Nada returned to our ward with a box of Patchi chocolates for us. Ma'am Nada also agreed that we could accumulate our off days to include four days in a row which is a huge HADIYADH for us. She has shown us her love compassion and sense of humor.
She is a good mother who is willing to "listen, and listen, and listen" and also willing to stand up and do the right to have and keep her nurses happy and satisfied. Thank you to my dear Madam Nada for being our best mother."

"She is a leader with her own way of reaching out to the staff from the different units to become efficient in their service to the patients. She will find time to listen to the staff about their concerns and she will reassure that she will find ways to solve the problems. She is courageous in such a way of being ahead of the nursing administration that will take her to face a lot of trials and difficulties along the way but still, she continues to remain strong and still leading the way to achieve success, growth, and improvement in the field of nursing. She is supportive of the nurse's activities and is also a Magnet Champion."

"A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions and compassion to listen to the needs of others. Her tireless efforts and determination to uplift nurses through Magnet Recognition inspire all of us. She provides clear vision, clear expectations and an environment that fosters teamwork. She continuously and perfectly balances the demands of compliance, professional and cultural priorities on a daily basis, passionate about patient care and committed to our patients securing world-class care. A committed nurse and a leader is the heart and soul of Ms. Nada Massoudi."

"It was more than a year now since I was involved for the hospital Magnet accreditation. Actually, I thought that when they said the hospital will apply for Magnet it will be good for the hospital and patients and it will be nursing administration paperwork and I'll just continue my routine. At first, we had a monthly meeting then I had a position in Unit Base Council then I had a position in one of the Specialty Council until I reached the Coordinating Council. It was nerve-wracking and I felt so tensed when meeting with the top person. I had experienced introducing ourselves in one of committee meeting there is Clinical Nurse Specialist, Head of Nursing Education, Head Nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing and I say RN1 from Special Ward with follow up question if I'm assistant or charge which I'm not. I always said to my Head Nurse when I do attend the meeting in the Nursing Administration Conference Room; the room is too cold for me. My hands and feet are shaking cold but I'm sweating inside because of anxiety.
The Director of Nursing is the chairperson of the Coordinating Council. She's confident, enthusiastic and determined leader as I perceived her. She's professional and looks quite like a perfectionist. One time when she had a one week leave I got the opportunity to send the council monthly report at that time thinking she will not read it. Surprisingly, she sent me a reply and I barely want to open because of nervousness which was only a thank you message. How silly am I?! There was a time as well she had a very busy schedule and just passed by after a meeting and I mentioned the action plan for our future project. She sat and explained to me patiently with all the table and example on how to do it. She even sent me a message of encouragement which uplifted my spirit. I felt I faced a lot of challenges and she was there to boost and inspire me. In one way or another, I feel proud of myself. Thanking her is not enough. She's a kind of true leader and a nurse with a vision."
