Mohammed Alserhan is King Faisal’s Tracheostomy CNC. He provides an excellent service to the entire hospital, patients, families, nurses and physicians. Mohammed not only covers the main hospital but also the East wing and the outpatient departments. He cares for both adult and pediatric patients. Mohammed also teaches the tracheostomy care workshop for all nursing staff.
Mohammed is a deserving recipient of The DAISY Award. His kindness, dedication and compassion for his patients and their families is a testament to that. Despite his very busy schedule and even busier pager, Mohammed is always pleasant, polite and happy to help.
We see a lot of Mohammed on D3-1, where he is involved in teaching our patients and families about their tracheostomy whilst in hospital and how to care for it on discharge. He is also involved in pre-laryngectomy teaching. He is always on hand to answer questions for both staff and patient. He is also involved in ordering their equipment and supplies. He then meets these patients in the clinics for tracheostomy tube changes. His input into their care helps to promote the best patient outcomes.
Mohammed goes above and beyond his role. His dedication, knowledge and enthusiasm make him a pleasure to work with. Mohammed is an asset to the hospital in every way, and we feel his dedication, compassion, kindness, knowledge and skills deserve to be recognized with The DAISY Award.
