My 2 youngest children have IG immune deficiencies and have to go for IV infusions every 4 weeks. Our nurse Mimi is amazing! She is not only personal but professional with us. She has always made me feel at ease and explains any changes made to their dose or rate changes. When my youngest started and had reactions her first time Mimi was on it immediately. She also didn't go to lunch that day to ensure she was there not a floater monitoring my daughter. It's not just with us, everyone adores her. She's expecting her 2nd child and I'm not quite sure how we will cope when she's out on maternity leave.
Mimi is always positive and upbeat. Her husband is deployed and she's pregnant and home with a toddler alone, but you'd never know; she's always upbeat and smiles for the kids. Never frustrated no matter how many times she has to try for a blood pressure reading on a wiggly 4-year-old. She can calm my 14-year-old just as well as the 4-year-old. She sings Happy Birthday to them and is just become a part of our family over the year and a half. She's absolutely remarkable! This isn't an easy process but it's definitely more bearable with a nurse like Mimi.
