I could see Mila plans her day very well and she completes her tasks in a timely manner. She helps out with all of the nurses; for example, she is good in IV insertions so almost everyone seeks her help. One time I had 6 patients and she is the Rover RN, she stepped up when I had to devote a lot of time to my unstable patients until I was able to catch up with my tasks and charting. Ever since I came to know Mila 4 years ago, she is serving as my role model and inspiration as a fellow RN.
I first started as a Per Diem RN. Mila made me feel welcome, which is a big deal when you are in an unfamiliar unit on your first day of work. I could see she is not only accommodating to staff but mostly patients. She is mostly positive, lights up the unit and always goes out of her way to make sure her patients are well taken care of. She communicates clearly with her colleagues and to her patients. For me, she embodies an RN in every way performing all functions that make the Unit and the shift go well.
Mila also steps up and does relief charge RN. She is active in promoting teamwork since she offers help at most times without being asked. She readily volunteers to help. Some stuff you have to ask twice for help. Mila offers it when she sees that you need help. Under her belt: years of nursing experience that makes her very effective and efficient. Her quality and Integrity as an RN should be recognized.
