The entire MICU staff was nominated and received the very first DAISY Unit/Team Award for outstanding and compassionate patient care delivery. The MICU team was nominated by a former patient. She describes the MICU team through the words of Ronald Reagan, "There is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you don't care who gets the credit." The MICU team, led by a passionate and committed manager, Diane Knapp, provides patient-centered care delivery, and promotes evidence-based care and teamwork in their daily practice. This is evident in the continuous feedback provided by patients, as well as, the vast improvement to their patient outcomes over the last year.
