Michelle went the extra mile from the moment I walked in the door. Being a first-time mom, I felt very unsure of myself, a little anxious and nervous of course. Michelle explained everything that was happening as things progressed which helped to get me comfortable and set my mind at ease. Michelle took care of my needs by keeping water handy, changing my bedding, and giving me an abundance of warm blankets. Michelle also saw to it that my partner was well taken care of, as well as my mother and other family members.
Michelle was cheerful, gentle, and knowledgeable prior to and during my laboring process. She was just like another mother through all of it. She guided my mom and partner so they were able to experience the birth of my child in just the way that we wanted. That was really important to us.
Michelle was also very compassionate in my aftercare. She helped me to care for my tender tummy and other things. That meant a lot to me because I know that it isn't the most glorious part of the job.
Michelle also helped me tremendously in regards to breastfeeding. It was a struggle in the beginning, but she showed me different methods, explained the importance and was really one of my biggest cheerleaders.
Even if Michelle thinks she was just doing her job, I think Michelle did more than that. I am glad I had this opportunity to say thank you!
