It was clear the first time we met Shane that he was on a whole other level. He greeted and briefed our family during an extremely difficult time. After a few hours, we felt like we knew him our entire life. He was as nice as he was sharp. He made my family feel like we were the only thing on his mind and he stated many times he would care for my mother like she was his own mother. In short order, we talked about Shane like he was a family member. His care, along with many other exceptional nurse and doctors, turned my mother around from a very life-threatening condition. She was transferred to the University of Kentucky to deal with a unique blood clot situation and is still in critical condition. We thought we had lost her nearly ten times. I followed up with Sane after our visit and he was thrilled for the update and said he thinks about our mom and our family every day. I have no doubt that he does. Shane was a breath of fresh air. He is exceptional and an asset for the CAMC Healthcare System.
