Each time I go to my client's home for a supervisory visit I hear nothing but amazing things from my client's mother. Prior to services starting with HealthCall she had not received any sort of in-home care to help with her child. When I first opened the case she continually stated how tired she was because she was so nervous to sleep at night, in the event her son needed anything. At the point of opening the case, she stated that she was just exhausted and was struggling to keep everything organized (between her son's care and schedule, her schedule and ability to work, and her younger son's schedule and needs). With starting services with our company, she said multiple times how nervous she was having someone in the home to care for her son and she did not know if she would even be able to relax and comfortable enough to sleep, not knowing if her son would be properly cared for. In addition, following her son being born she, unfortunately, had to quit her full-time job, to be able to focus all of her time on caring for her son.
Enter Michael. From the very first shift, he provided nothing but comforting, confident care to the client. He has connected with the client and his mother since working there and the strength of that professional relationship is evident through her constant positive feedback. The client's mother has told me many times that he is very passionate about the work that he does and makes sure that every little thing, no matter how small, is taken care of prior to either of them waking in the morning. The BEST parts of him working in this home are how happy the client is having someone he can talk to and how relaxed, comfortable, happy (and well rested) his mother is.
Michael is the epitome of "excellence in nursing." He entered a home that was in need of support and was able to help create an environment in which the client is happy (and reportedly the healthiest he's been in a while), his mother is happy, AND his younger brother is happy having someone else in the home to help care for his brother. Lastly, his mother is so confident in the care being provided and how healthy her son has been that she has been able to work full-time and is planning on going back to school. THANK YOU, Michael, for helping this wonderful family regain their normalcy and quality of life.
