Megan has become a key team member on our unit in a short amount of time. She has grown from a new grad into a hardworking team member that others look to for assistance. She has floated out of turn on multiple times to save a fellow nurse from having three assignments. She is constantly checking up on her coworkers, helping out patients that are not hers, and getting things done before you even knew there was a need. On a busy med-surg floor, this kind of above-and-beyond help is wonderful.

Megan has stepped in to care for several critically ill patients and assist in rapid response situations. She has also stepped up to act as charge nurse when the need arose. Last, but not least, she has stepped up to represent the unit as representative for unit based practice and Magnet committees when our current representatives left the unit to work in other areas. Megan Etchings has grown to become a stellar team player and is quite the deserving nurse for these reasons and more.
