Megan Dirteater provided excellent care to my ill mother. Every time she came into the room she had a smile on her face. She held my mother's hand every time she spoke to her and made sure she understood everything that was going on. Every time Megan left the room, my mother said, "She's my favorite nurse!"
Megan was full of compassion, she treated my mother as if she was family. She made sure to do everything she could for me as well. My mother is often a hard IV stick and when her IV went bad, we were worried, but Megan came and put in a new IV and got it on the first try. She was truly impressive.
I know Megan was probably busy but she never acted like it, she spent as much time with my mother as she needed, and was never in a rush. She brushed her hair and put lotion on her back to help her feel at ease at bedtime. Even though my mother has dementia, she never treated her any different.
Even if my mother doesn't remember Megan tomorrow, I will never forget the care Megan provided to my ill mother. My mother kept talking about her dog that recently passed away, to cheer her up Megan showed her pictures of her dog, and my mother was ecstatic and couldn't stop smiling. The care Megan provided was truly exceptional, and I want to thank her for it. Megan was born to be a nurse!
