A few months ago, I along with multiple staff members, from both our unit and throughout the hospital, helped coordinate a very special wedding between one of our patients, P, and his wife, S. It was such a beautiful day and I think it emotionally touched all involved. I couldn't be more thankful to have everyone's love and support to make something so special happen for two lovely individuals. A very kind hospice RN called me just now, stating that she was recently contacted by S regarding the care that her husband received here while on our unit. P peacefully passed away, about one month ago, while under hospice care. S wanted to make sure that we all knew how grateful and appreciative of the amazing love and care that was given to her husband and herself during such a difficult time. She felt that we all went above and beyond any and all expectations and that we made such a difficult time brighter. She has been struggling and the bereavement team with hospice is taking good care of her, but those memories of that day help her out immensely. I'm just very thankful to be a part of such a wonderful team. Thank you all again.
