From the first time I met Matt, he not only answered, with a great degree, every single one of my questions, but he did so with a sense of compassion and genuine sympathy.
My mother was a patient on 2600 for 5 days this past fall. We were fortunate enough to have Matt caring for her. Over the past year, my mother has been in the hospital no less than 8 times. She has been diagnosed with Parkinson's; fractured her wrist; had to go to a memory care facility; and partial hip replacement which resulted in pulmonary embolism. She was taking blood thinners which caused her complications and had to come back to the hospital. She required a blood transfusion in which Matt performed.
I am extremely involved in my mother's care. From the first time I met Matt, he not only answered, with a great degree, every single one of my questions, but he did so with a sense of compassion and genuine sympathy. Undoubtedly busy with other patients to care for, he took as much time as necessary to respond to my questions when I was there and returned every one of my phone calls in a timely fashion. When my mother's dietary status was changed, he took the time to call me with the menu to go over food choices with every meal. I got the impression that he genuinely cared about my mom's well-being. My mom became agitated one evening while in Matt's care and he took it in stride. She ended up that night needing to be in soft restraints, which Matt compassionately advised me of.
After a year of many hospitals, facilities, and nurses, Matt, "hands down", provided the most thorough and thoughtful care to my mom. I knew she was in excellent hands.
Matt saw me cry, comforted me, and certainly made my mom as comfortable as she possibly could be. His attention to detail was outstanding and his follow-through excellent. I cannot sing the praises of Matt enough; Delnor is lucky to have him! Please pass along my sincere thanks to Matt as he made a very difficult time in my life much more bearable.
