Having a loved one in ICU on a ventilator is an overwhelming experience. Matt took the time to explain what was happening and what all of the monitors and tubes were for. He explained why my husband was moving around the way he was and why his hands and feet were restrained. He was very kind and compassionate. Matt not only talked to my husband, but to me as well. He treated my husband like family. Matt will never know how comforting it is to know beyond a shadow of doubt that your loved one is getting the best care a nurse can provide. Matt even checked in on us the days he wasn't our nurse.
